I binge ate for 10 years. That was 10 years of my life feeling out of control around food, battling with my weight, isolating myself, feeling embarrassed of my dirty secret, and having no idea how to stop it all.

It all began with an overly restrictive diet in college where I lost 40 lbs. I thought I was doing it “the right way” but it turns out, I was wrong. I had terrible eating habits growing up and after I lost all that weight, those habits came back with a vengeance. I let go of everything I had done to lose the weight, which wasn’t sustainable anyway, and my urge to eat a lot of food was raging.

It all began with an overly restrictive diet in college where I lost 40 lbs. I thought I was doing it “the right way” but it turns out, I was wrong. I would eat in secret, buy a lot of food pretending I wasn’t buying it for only myself (hello fake cell phone calls), I’d go to two drive-thrus in a row (there were times it was three), eat my roommate’s food, and feel terrible about it all every single time. Yet I kept doing it.

Everything changed when

I found life coaching.

Life coaching wasn’t about finding new ways to distract myself, avoiding certain foods, or changing the food around me. It was about changing ME. I changed what was going on in my mind, how I thought about food, how I responded to my urges to binge, how I made my eating decisions, and most importantly, I changed my life.

I can spend my time working on things that will better my life, doing truly fun and fulfilling things, and I don’t have thoughts about food and eating constantly running through my head. I’m not afraid of any foods, I’m not afraid of eating too much, and I can trust myself around any food, even my old binge foods, and that’s my biggest win.

It’s now my mission to help as many people as I can to do this too. As a certified life and weight coach, I have all the tools you need to stop binge eating forever and create your ideal eating habits. They’re tangible, actionable tools that I still use myself and that my clients see amazing success with too.
